Employment — The detail

For the employer

What we call non-contentious work, includes:

  • Advising and drafting service agreements and employment contracts for key and general staff
  • Preparing, advising and renewing company handbooks and policies
  • Drafting and advising on restrictive covenants to protect your business interests
  • Advice on Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (TUPE)
  • Reorganisations
  • HR/legal support for disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Specialist advice on employment agencies and businesses
  • Advice on executive benefits and remuneration
  • Termination advice and developing appropriate packages.

If it becomes contentious and possibly even litigious, we will advise on:

  • Unfair dismissal
  • Redundancy
  • All areas of discrimination, including age, sex, disability and race
  • Wrongful dismissal
  • Compromise Agreements
  • TUPE.

For the employee

What we call non-contentious work, includes advice about:

  • Terms of your service agreement or contract of employment
  • Any employment issue, whether of a disciplinary nature or in the case you wish to bring a grievance
  • Maternity, paternity and general family rights
  • General employment issues.

Should things become messy and you need our advice, we can assist you with submitting any claim to the Employment Tribunal, County or High Court, depending on whether you have a claim for unfair dismissal and/or breach of contract, a discrimination claim or any other employment dispute.
