Most financial institutions require sight of a Grant before releasing any funds. If the deceased owned a property a Grant will definitely be required.
Before a Grant can be obtained, the Personal Representatives must submit an application to a Probate Registry – this involves signing a Statement of Truth and preparing an Inheritance Tax account, even where there is no inheritance tax to pay.
BBS can draft all the documents leading up to the Grant and submit the application on your behalf. We are skilled in drafting full and abridged Inheritance Tax accounts.
BBS offer a fixed service where we only obtain a Grant of Probate for you. For more information about our fixed fees, please see our Grant Only service page.
